Over the decades, we have built a fully integrated system covering sourcing, processing, and distribution, supported by a trained eye for selecting high-quality tuna and a commitment to quality at every step.
FISHDOG products for dogs and cats are made using premium natural tuna of the same quality consumed by humans as the main ingredient (Human Grade Food™). They are processed and manufactured according to the same standards used for products intended for people.
We also make use of sashimi-grade trimmings from natural tuna, with deep respect for the blessings of the sea and a commitment to using every part of this valuable ingredient as fully as possible.

2. Strict Cleanliness and Safety Standards for Peace of Mind
The Misaki tuna we source is primarily caught using the longline fishing method. Once brought on board, the tuna is processed immediately, frozen at -50°C, and transported under strict temperature control before being stored in our own ultra-low-temperature freezers at -50°C.
At -50°C, quality deterioration is kept to an absolute minimum.
This allows us to preserve the freshness of the tuna from the moment it is landed until just before manufacturing.
Because pets cannot tell us how they feel, we believe safety and transparency matter even more. That is why we never use additives and remain committed to providing ingredients that pet owners can trust with complete confidence.
Another key part of our quality control is that FISHDOG products are made in a dedicated processing facility operated in accordance with HACCP-based standards. We apply the same expertise and production discipline we have cultivated through manufacturing food for humans to the creation of treats for dogs and cats.
3. Protecting the Richness of the Ocean and the Natural Environment
Tuna are born and raised in the ocean, and the richness of that ocean deserves to be protected.
At FISHDOG, we believe that choosing the right suppliers is one meaningful way to help preserve marine resources for the future.
For this reason, we do not handle tuna weighing less than 10 kilograms that have not yet had a chance to spawn. We also do not use fish caught by purse seine vessels, which are considered by many to contribute to bycatch and resource depletion.
At the same time, while deep-sea fishing and ultra-low-temperature freezing help us maintain excellent freshness and quality, we are fully aware that these processes require substantial energy.
To reduce our environmental impact, in October 2022 we installed a solar power generation system with 580 panels and a total output of 200kW on the roof of our factory. Today, approximately 20% of our electricity usage is covered by our own solar power generation.
We will continue to promote the use of cleaner energy and strive to create products that are better not only for our customers, but also for the environment.
