IN LIQUID FORM

22nd February 2018

Remember once upon a time we all were allowed to bring liquids on board planes. It wasn’t complicated, if you had water and brought it on board you wouldn’t be treated like H2O was a hazardous substance.

Those were simpler times, made a little more complicated in modern day thanks to newer airline regulations put in place to ensure we fly safer. We won’t mention who, but someone in the team got some special artisanal sauces tossed away in front of them at the security checkpoint.

There were tears involved in that story.

You’re probably wondering why this would affect your shipping through BuyandShip, why would we bring it up?

Simple, it’s more for the simple reason that airlines and courier partners limit the shipping of liquids, not just with BuyandShip, but also with other small parcel forwarding services too.

We know it’s a bummer, especially when there are skincare items or shampoos that seemingly may not be shipped over because of the restrictions.

BUT!!!

We always want to help you get what you need or want through the BuyandShip service, so here are a couple of ways for you to make sure you can get your items shipped safely to Singapore.

COMMUNICATE WITH THE SELLER
Find out from them if they have had any problems shipping their products through airmail previously. They most likely would have found a way around the restrictions, so speaking with the seller would help make sure there are few tears shed in the process. You could even take it a step further and chat with BuyandShip customer service on what we can advise.

LOOK INTO OBTAINING AN MSDS
The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is a document that contains all the information of ingredients and chemicals present in the item you would be shipping, mainly to ensure airlines that the item isn’t hazardous. Getting this information would greatly help your chances in getting the green light of shipping it out of the HK warehouse. You would most likely get this piece of documentation from the seller or manufacturer.

Believe us when we say we want to help too! Which is why our Customer Service staff are ever-ready to answer your questions. We know that in cases like these, communication is always key, and would be more than willing to cooperate with you to get your liquids unstuck!

Feel free to PING us either on the website or on our Facebook page if you have any questions!
