BuyandShip provides you with additional protection

Basic insurance coverage for all packages

Basic insurance coverage for lost or damaged package is applicable for all packages without additional charges.

Enhanced coverage for lost package

With an additional charge of 3% of the declared package value, you will receive an enhanced coverage for lost up to US$1,000 (or the equivalent amount in foreign currency)

Efficient claiming process

Once the Damage / Loss notification claim has been approved, the payment will be processed within 7 working days.


Basic Package Insurance Plan

1. Free package insurance coverage

  • All of our clients using our service is qualified for the basic package insurance plan

2. Lost Package

  • Each package is considered independently (each with one tracking number)
  • Only applicable when the entire package is lost
  • The insurance is not subject to partial lost of the package
  • Failure in providing real, accurate and complete information of the package is not eligible for the insurance plan
  • Certificate of purchase must be provided to verify the quantity and actual value of the package
  • Coverage for each package is up to US$100 (or the equivalent amount in foreign currency)
  • Compensation will be settled in SGD at an exchange rate of US$1 = $1.35 SGD (or the equivalent amount in foreign currency)

3. Damaged Package

  • If the damaged package can not function properly, compensation will be calculated based on the level of damage, up to 30% of the delivery fee.
  • Liquid leakage is not eligible for the insurance plan
  • Fragile goods (such as ceramic glass, liquid crystal display, books and papers) is not eligible for the insurance plan

Enhanced Package Insurance Plan

1. Insurance Fee

  • Insurance fee is equal to 3% of the declared package value
  • Each package is considered independently (each with one tracking number)
  • The maximum insurance fee for each package is US$30
  • Insurance fee will be charged together with the delivery fee
  • If the value of the package is under US$100, no additional insurance fee will be charged

2. Lost Package

  • Each package is considered independently (each with one tracking number)
  • Only applicable when the entire package is lost
  • The insurance is not subject to partial lost of the package
  • Failure in providing real, accurate and complete information of the package is not eligible for the insurance plan
  • Certificate of purchase must be provided to verify the quantity and actual value of the package
  • Coverage for each package is up to US$1000 (or the equivalent amount in foreign currency)

    3. Damaged Package

    • Enhanced Package Insurance Plan is not eligible for damaged package

  • Buyandship Package Insurance Does Not Cover

    • Shipment that has no package declaration, false report or unable to provide Tracking Number
    • Shipment that indicates false receive notice or pre-declared information, no inbound information or wrong delivery from seller
    • Suspected website or unable to contact the seller
    • No sign of delivery company certifying that the package has been delivered to our overseas warehouse
    • Any damage/loss due to temperature, humidity changes
    • Dangerous goods and prohibited articles (click here for more details)
    • The sender lost the shipment during the delivery or false documents are provided by the sender
    • The package is already with poor quality or the quantity is not correct before its arrival to our oversea warehouse
    • Fragile goods (such as ceramic glass, liquid crystal display, books and papers) is not eligible for damage compensation
    • Damage due to improper packaging or lack of appropriate protection for the package
    • Damage compensation is not applicable if the packaging is intact
    • Damage compensation is not applicable if the outer packaging is damaged without any actual damage to the product itself
    • For non-carton or wooden box packaging package, we will not accept any form of damage compensation
    • The expiring of shelf life and warranty period and other irresistible factors due to clearance
    • Damage/ Loss due to nature losses, nature defects, characteristics, and market price rise or fall caused
    • Damage/ Loss due to bad weather, lightning, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods and other natural disasters during transportation
    • Damage/ Loss in the event of an air accident, public enemy invasion, insurrection, strike or other regional dispute, civil disturbance or war in transit
    • Damage/ Loss due to any customs, airline, airport or government officials’ negligence, such as customs returns, flight delays, etc.

    Precautions For Receiving Package

    • Check the package to see whether the packaging is intact or if there is a significant difference in weight
    • Regardless of whether or not obvious damage is occurred to the outer packaging, inspection of the package is necessary before signing the courier document
    • After the package is found damaged, please prepare the certificate of purchase, photos of the outer packaging, photos of the damaged details and other information and inform us to initialize the compensation claiming process
    • If the package is found damaged, you reserve the right to refuse to sign any documents from the courier and take photos of the package immediately

    Compensation Claiming Procedures

    • Please prepare the following documents for claiming: Certificate of purchasing (including the actual value and quantity of the package), delivery notification email from the seller, photos of the damage details (including the outer packaging and the product) and contact of the seller
    • Please email the above documents to support@buyandship.com.sg with the email subject “Username+Order Number+Claim”
    • We will not accept the claim request If the submission documents are not completed, or we are not able to contact the seller to confirm the details.
    • We will respond within 7 business days after all the necessary documents are provided
    • No compensation claim will be accepted 3 days after the receipt of the package
    • No compensation claim will be accepted if the package has not been claimed for more than 30 days after its arrival to our local warehouse
    • Payment will be notified by email upon completion of the claim
